Flower Hill is the name of a village in Nassau County, New York. It sits at the base of the Cow Neck Peninsula. The village is bordered by Port Washington on the north and east, Plandome, and Plandome Heights on the west, and Manhasset on the south. It is associated with the Greater Roslyn area and Greater Port Washington area. For the most part the village serves as a well-to-do suburban community. It is located around twenty-five miles east of Midtown Manhattan. , the estimated population was 4,700. The name Flower Hill is said to have existed prior to the village incorporating, when cows would roam by a flower garden located near a local hill south of Village Hall. Flower Hill was incorporated on May 25th, 1931.
