Lake Grove is the name of a village in Suffolk County, New York. It is located in the center of the county, approximately sixty miles east of Midtown Manhattan. The village is within the town of Brookhaven. Lake Grove is bordered by the hamlets of Centereach to the east, Stony Brook to the north, Nesconset to the west, and Lake Ronkonkoma to the south. The village is mostly a middle-class residential neighborhood., the Lake Grove population was estimated at 11,400. The village gets its name from a grove of trees located near Lake Ronkonkoma.
