Traffic Tickets in the Village of Massapequa Park

The Massapequa Park Village Court is located at 151 Front Street, Massapequa Park, NY 11762. This court handles parking and traffic tickets, ordinances, violations of village rules and regulations, and zoning matters. Criminal arraignments are held at 8 PM on the first and third Tuesday of the month, while court trials are conducted once a month on Friday morning.

The northern region of Massapequa Park almost takes on the shape of a rectangle with many small, interconnected roads. These smaller roads are very similar in size and direction, giving north Massapequa Park the appearance of a grid. One of the only larger roads in town, Sunrise Highway (NYS-27), cuts through the center of the village horizontally and acts as a border between the north and south of the village. The southern region of Massapequa does not have a very defined shape and loses about half its width. Despite the decrease in width and odd borders, the roads in southern Massapequa Park still have the appearance of a grid. Some other notable roads in Massapequa Park are Park Boulevard, Lake Shore Drive, and Linden Street. These roads are larger than most of the roads in the village, but they hug the western and northern borders making the smaller roads essential to accessing various parts of the village. Speeding is a common traffic infraction charged on the Sunrise Highway. Other traffic stops are for “disobeying a traffic control device” or rolling through a stop sign.
