Patchogue (pronounced PA-chog) is a village in Suffolk County, New York. It is around sixty miles east of Midtown Manhattan. , the village was home to an estimated 12,000 residents. Patchogue was named after the Algonquin word for “Pochaug” which means “where two streams separate". Patchogue was incorporated as a village in 1893. The village is bordered by East Patchogue on the east, North Patchogue on the north, Blue Point on the west, and the Patchogue Bay on the south. The village has a total area of 2.52 square miles.
