Plandome Heights is a village in Nassau County, New York. , the population was estimated at 1,000. Similar to the surrounding areas that also include Plandome in their name, Plandome Heights comes from the Latin word “Planus Domus” meaning “estate on the plain”. Plandome Heights was incorporated in 1929. It is bordered by Manhasset on the south and east, Plandome on the north, and the Manhasset Bay on the west. The village has a total area of 0.19 square miles.
