Suffolk County is a county in New York State. Located on Long Island, it is the most eastern area of New York State. To the north is the Long Island Sound. To the east and south is the Atlantic Ocean. Nassau County is on its western side. Suffolk County is rectangular shaped, measuring 86 miles in its length and 26 miles in its width.
